Dear Ward 8 Residents,
We have been working hard to ensure that the seniors in Ward 8 know that during these uncertain times, the community is surrounding them with love and necessities. We have partnered with the World Central Kitchen, Martha's Table and other non-profit organizations to support this mission.
I encourage our seniors to take advantage of the dedicated shopping hours local stores are offering. Store times vary per location. Please check times before heading out.
Mayor Muriel Bowser, my colleagues and I continue to ask residents to stay home. Please only go out for essentials, (grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, etc.) and limit the number of trips. Stay safe and stay home.
I ask that you continue to seek information from the DC Health's website
coronavirus.dc.gov and tune in daily to the Mayor's press conference each morning at 11:00 am. We will get through this together.
