Friend -- Dear Greens and Green supporters, The results are in! Dr. Jill Stein received the majority of votes at the Green Party of New York convention. Jill will be the presidential candidate on our state party petition and will have 12 of GPNY’s 13 delegates at the national presidential nominating convention this summer. Jasmine Sherman was awarded one delegate and Jorge Zavala did not reach the threshold to receive any delegates from New York. The momentum to gather 45,000 valid signatures started building at the convention on Saturday, March 24, with just those in attendance collectively pledging to gather over 3000 signatures and donated $1500.00 towards our ballot access fund. With petitioning kicking off on April 16, and lasting for only six weeks, we need to increase those pledges tenfold to overcome one of the most restrictive ballot access laws in the country.
