Hi John, this is Glenn Close. I know you’re probably wondering what I’m doing in your inbox. So let me explain!
Jon Tester is running for reelection in Montana—it’s the most important race on the map. This election will determine the future of our country, and I can’t sit on the sidelines with stakes as high as these.
We’re not the only ones who know how important this election is. Mitch McConnell has made Jon his top target, and that means he’ll spend whatever it takes and sink to the lowest of lows to beat Jon.
It’s on us to have his back.
Winning this election is so urgent, I have to ask: Will you chip in $10 to help Jon Tester defeat Mitch McConnell and protect Montana’s Senate seat? We all need to do our part to win this race.
Can I tell you why this election is so important to me personally?
The fight for a woman’s right to choose has been a long one, John. I remember attending pro-choice marches in Washington, D.C. like it was yesterday—but it was 34 years ago, and we’re still fighting the same fight.
After Montanans voted to protect abortion rights, the governor and the Montana state legislature are still trying to undermine that.
Thankfully, we have a senator like Jon working to ensure that the federal government stays out of women’s health care decisions. He’s also helping lead the fight to protect women’s right to privacy when making those decisions, and will continue to deliver on the issues that matter most to women in Montana.
We need to reelect Jon to keep up this momentum toward a better future, which is why I’m asking: Can you chip in $10 toward his reelection campaign? Jon’s relying on people like you to win this election, and from what I’ve seen in the headlines, it’ll be one of the most expensive races next year.

We can change things for the better, but it’ll take all of us working together to elect leaders who listen and deliver.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and chip in,
Glenn Close
