*Inclusionary Housing Ordinance Planning Commission Hearing*

The County of San Diego’s Planning Commission will be considering the following project and associated documents during the noted hearing date.
* Name: Inclusionary Housing Ordinance

* Project Description: Inclusionary housing is a tool used to help increase production of affordable housing by requiring that new developments provide affordable housing units as part of their project. Staff is requesting that the Planning Commission provide a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors on the proposed Ordinance and criteria options including which project types and locations the Ordinance would apply, the percentage of affordable units that should be provided, potential alternative compliance options for when units cannot be provided on site, and incentives to help offset the cost of providing affordable housing units.
