National Domestic Workers Alliance

============================

John — over 500 care workers, employers, and supporters joined our Care Worker Recognition Month National Kick-Off call on March 28, setting the stage for a transformative April. Our gathering was more than a webinar, it was a call to action to recognize and uplift the invaluable work of care workers across the nation.

From Chinda Lucoski's moving story as a family caregiver to Bhumit Shah's testimony on why we need robust home and community-based services to Chanelle Croxton's breakdown of the care crisis and our strategies for change, we were reminded why care matters deeply to each of us.

We were also reminded that change is not only necessary but possible. It begins with each of us, and it starts now. Show that you’re committed to this movement and sign our Care Champion Pledge. Whether we are giving or receiving care, the reality is undeniable: care work is essential work, deserving of fair wages, respect and recognition.

Our movement to build a world where this is the norm is strong and continues to grow every day. As we journey through April and Care Workers Recognition Month, let's keep this momentum up. From rallies in DC to digital actions that spread our care message far and wide, your involvement is so important to help create the society we all want and deserve.

By adding your voice to the pledge [[link removed]] , you’re helping reimagine the world into one where care work is valued. Together, we can reshape the landscape of care in America, making it accessible and equitable for everyone.

The majority of domestic workers sit at the center of some of our nation’s most decisive issues because of who they are and what they do: they are women – mostly women of color, immigrants, mothers, and low-wage workers. They are impacted by almost every policy affecting the future of our economy, democracy and country.

Domestic workers can lead us toward a new, inclusive vision for the future for all of us -- and your grassroots support is the fuel that can get us there.
