Social Distancing – Not a New Reality for Our Community

While millions of Americans try to make sense of social distancing as a new reality, the CF community has already proven that if the right measures are taken, you can successfully protect your health. People living with CF have taught us valuable lessons in how to build and sustain community despite physical distance. Our Advocacy Work During COVID-19

For many, COVID-19 is magnifying the existing financial and logistic burdens associated with CF care. The Foundation and CF community advocates are engaging with state and federal policymakers and insurers to ensure that the needs of people with CF are considered as steps are taken to manage and mitigate the effects of the pandemic.

Some of our top priorities include strong public health measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, expanding telehealth services to help sustain regular CF care, and educating insurers on the specific needs of our community during this time.
