John,
After seven World Central Kitchen aid workers trying to feed starving Palestinians were killed by Israeli strikes earlier this week, reports that Biden is “pissed” and “heated” have continued with no change in policy. But yesterday, President Biden reportedly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
This is a big deal. While we welcome the President’s call for a ceasefire, it is long overdue. This change comes after the United States vetoed numerous United Nations ceasefire resolutions and provided billions in military aid to Israel, and after more than 30,000 Palestinians and 200 aid workers have already been killed.
Actions speak louder than words. If we’re going to save more innocent lives from being taken by the Israeli military’s man-made famine and violent genocide, we need President Biden to back his words up with action:
The President can say whatever he wants, but until his policies change and he uses every measure at his disposal to stop this worsening genocide and humanitarian crisis, we won’t rest.
Thank you for making your voice heard,
