Dear John,

In these extraordinary times, Amazon workers are taking extraordinary action to protect themselves, their coworkers, and all of us. Will you act today to show these workers you have their back? [[link removed]]

Amazon is failing to protect workers from exposure to COVID-19. Workers report that the company is not providing gloves and masks, is not adhering to social distancing measures, and is hiding information about infections in the facilities. What’s worse, Amazon warehouse workers can only access paid leave if they have tested positive for COVID — but we all know tests are very difficult to get.

As of this email, there are reports of COVID cases in more than 30 Amazon warehouses.

Amazon workers are fighting for their safety. This week, workers in New York City, Chicago, and Detroit walked off their jobs in protest. Instead of listening to Amazon employees, the company fired the whistleblower who led the March 30 fulfillment center strike in Staten Island.

Tell Amazon it needs to protect community and worker health — and show Amazon workers that you’ll stand with them until we are all safe. Here’s what you can do:

>>> Sign Athena’s petition to governors across the country asking them to investigate and shut down unsafe warehouses, guaranteeing workers full pay during the closure, until adequate health and safety measures are implemented. [[link removed]]

>>> Post a solidarity selfie like this one [[link removed]] on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or your favorite platform. Use the #ProtectAmazonWorkers hashtag!

>>> Contribute what you can to the Amazon Whistleblower Support Fund so workers know they have a whole community of support behind them when they stand up for public health. [[link removed]]

Stay tuned for more updates as this fight continues, and thank you for your support,
