Last month, Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced that she won’t run for re-election. Good riddance.

Sinema’s retirement is a golden opportunity to replace her with a Social Security champion, someone we are proud to endorse: Ruben Gallego.

Gallego, who has served in the US House for the last decade, is vocal about his support for protecting and expanding Social Security. He says that “Social Security and Medicare are non-negotiable.”¹

Recently, Gallego led the way in getting the government to reduce the amount Social Security beneficiaries have to pay back years later if they were overpaid through no fault of their own.²

Gallego is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about Social Security. In the Senate, he won’t just vote the right way, he will lead the charge to protect and expand our earned benefits.

But first, he needs to defeat Republican Kari Lake. That’s the same Kari Lake who ran for Arizona governor two years ago as a fervent supporter of Donald Trump. Just like Trump, she refused to concede defeat when she lost. And now, Trump has endorsed her for U.S. Senate.
