By now, every American household will have received an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census.Muslim Legal Fund of America is proud to partner with the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) to encourage our community's participation in a national campaign to 'shape our
future.' Mosques and Islamic centers across the country are declaring this coming Friday "National Muslim Census Day" to remind the Muslim community about the importance of participating in the U.S. Census.
The Census is a key aspect of our democracy. Since 1790, the Census count helps determine the number of seats each state receives in the U.S. House of Representatives, and guides leaders in decisions affecting their constituents.
The
Constitution requires a population count every 10 years. This will be the first time we can complete the census online, so make sure you fill out the confidential, secure census along with Muslims across the nation!
