Dear John,
As you probably already know, Canada is pursuing an energy transition: away from fossil fuels, and toward wind power, solar power, and hydropower.
A new essay published by the Fraser Institute today sheds light on some of the often-ignored challenges such a transition will face.
Massive land consumption of wind and solar power generation, enormous amounts of materials needed for the required metal extraction, and much lower energy return on investment are just a few of the challenges that energy transition advocates often ignore.
