Trump's attempt to have stolen classified documents trial dismissed axed by right-wing judge HE appointed to the bench
Ouch, that's gotta sting. Even for a guy who spends so much of his time losing in court.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump dealt crushing loss in New York hush money case
The New York judge overseeing the disgraced ex-president's porn star hush money case just denied Trump's last-ditch attempt to delay the commencement of the trial, pouring a bucket of cold water on the serially indicted fraudster's bullshit presidential immunity claims. Brian Tyler Cohen and Glenn Kirschner break down what it all means.

Trump moves to strip ALL our reproductive rights
Jacky Rosen for Senate: The end of Roe v. Wade has created a nightmare and now Republicans’ presumptive presidential nominee is endorsing a national abortion ban. Sen. Jacky Rosen has been a key leader in the fight to protect our reproductive rights, which is why Mitch McConnell and his cronies are trying to replace her with an anti-abortion MAGA extremist eager to help Trump take away abortion access. Will you do your part to defend our Senate majority and protect our reproductive rights?
Biden calls for immediate ceasefire, tells Netanyahu future US support depends on Israel protecting civilians in Gaza
In his first call with the prime minister since March 18, President Biden said that the current humanitarian crisis in Gaza is "unacceptable" and that Israel must announce and implement "measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering and the safety of aid workers" or risk losing further aid from the United States. The president’s comments are the first time he has threatened conditioning aid to Israel during the last seven months of war in Gaza. Just hours after Biden’s call, Israel's security cabinet approved opening the Erez crossing in northern Gaza for the first time since early October in order to allow more humanitarian aid to enter the enclave, where millions of Palestinians are facing imminent starvation. The cabinet also reportedly approved temporarily opening up the Ashdod port to transport additional aid into Gaza, and will increase the amount of humanitarian assistance coming from Jordan via the Kerem Shalom crossing. More than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed in the brutal war following the Hamas terror attacks on October 7.

No Labels pulls out of 2024 election
After spending tens of millions of dollars to gain ballot access across the country AND less than a month after confirming it definitely would run a third-party candidate and potentially spoil the presidential election, the so-called "centrist" group No Labels has decided not to run a third-party "unity ticket" after all, because, well, the group can't find any credible candidates to actually run. Audio of a No Labels delegate vote leaked to The New Republic last month showed that the organization was clueless about how to move forward and didn’t know if it would find candidates, despite reaching out to at least 30 people. No credible candidates, you say? Does this mean the Republican Party will pull out of the 2024 election, too?

Melania Trump schedules rare public appearance at LGBT fundraiser
We know what you're thinking. There are still members of the LGBT community who actually support Republicans AND Donald Trump?! Apparently, yes. But also, Melania is back? The reclusive former first lady will host a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans on April 20 — at her husband’s

Florida club, Mar-a-Lago — according to an invitation obtained by Politico. The group, which bills itself as "the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives," has long maintained close ties to the disgraced ex-president’s wife, because the simulation is obviously just toying with us at this point.
Shady banker who backed Trump's $175 million bond may not have the money after all
New York Attorney General Letitia James has some questions about Donald Trump’s $175 million bond insurer — mainly, if it can even guarantee the full amount if push comes to shove. In a court filing on Thursday, Knight Speciality Insurance Company revealed that its liquid assets don't come anywhere close to meeting the needs of Trump’s already minimized bond. According to a financial assessment, the company, owned by "king of subprime car loans" Don Hankey, has just $138 million in "surplus." Knight would therefore need to spend 127 percent of its reserves in order to cover Trump’s bond — far more than the 10 percent of a state-regulated suretor’s surplus that’s actually allowed by New York law. James’ office has given Trump and his new financial bedfellows 10 days to "justify the surety." Oops.

South Carolina sitting on $1.8 BILLION in mysterious state bank account, doesn't know how it got there, what to do with it, or if it is even real
Seriously? Yes. Seriously. In discussing the situation, Republican Gov. Henry McMaster told reporters, "There’s something wrong somewhere. We don't know why it’s there, what it’s supposed to be used for, how long it’s been there — that’s a problem." But wait, there's more! Last year, the state's Republican comptroller resigned after the discovery of a 10-year, $3.5 BILLION accounting error. State lawmakers say the $1.8 billion sum could be related to that scandal. Or, you know, it may not be. No one knows.

Arizona Republicans push bill that would legalize killing undocumented migrants accused of trespass
Republicans in the Arizona legislature advanced a dangerous new bill that would allow residents to use "deadly force" if someone simply trespasses onto their property in the border state. The bill would serve as an amendment to a state law — known as the Castle Doctrine — that permits the use of deadly force against someone trespassing, broadening the definition of "premises" to include property, not just a home. While the bill doesn’t specifically mention migrants, Republican state Rep. Justin Heap said the amended language of the measure would close a "loophole" over an alleged "increasingly larger number of migrants or human traffickers moving across farm and ranchland." Let's be clear. This isn't about "trespassing." It's about shooting indiscriminately at Brown people who happen to step foot on white people's property, even a far-flung corner of a huge ranch or sprawling farm. Speaking up for common sense and sanity, Democratic Rep. Analise Ortiz said, "I do not think there is any sense in giving a green light to more extrajudicial killings." Uh, correct.
