I hope you and your family are well! I wanted to provide you with a few updates regarding what’s going on –

War on Christianity

According to the White House, Joe Biden proclaimed Easter Sunday - when countless Americans celebrate the resurrection of our Savior - as "Transgender Day of Visibility."

I am dumbfounded! Christian America (both Democrats and Republicans) needs to wake up and take notice of what the Biden Administration has just done for the Holiest Day of Christianity!

When the White House Press Pool asked Biden about his proclamation, he told them "I didn't do that." Watch here.

Mr. President, the horrid proclamation was issued in your name.

This raises serious concerns about whether Biden is even aware of the policies being published in his name by the White House.

American Energy Security Suffers Under Biden

First, Biden’s war on energy continued on Wednesday as he announced a 20-year ban on drilling in the Thompson Divide in Colorado.

Instead of harvesting the vast natural resources available in America, Biden wants America to rely on OPEC, Russia, and China for energy.

Second, Biden’s January Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) export ban hurt American energy producers and cut income for American farmers who lease their land to producers who harvest the vast natural resources on their land. It’s time to unleash American energy and support American farmers.

Third, Biden depleted the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) in a historic, reckless, and unsustainable decision that left us vulnerable and unable to assist allies who face natural disasters, emergencies, or international crises.

Now, Biden is struggling to re-fill the SPR because prices of oil are increasing. Biden’s failed policies leave America vulnerable and reliant on adversaries for energy. America needs an all-the-above energy policy and that makes us energy independent. Our energy security is our national security.

Just yesterday, I joined Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Rodgers in holding the International Energy Agency and the Department of Energy accountable for their failure to uphold their mission of energy security.

The IEA and DOE are turning their back on American energy in favor or radical climate agendas.

Terrorists in America

A Somali terrorist (part of al Shabaab) illegally entered California in 2023 and was released to roam America.

The terrorist made it all the way to Minnesota before being captured and was intent “to try to make a bomb.”

This is Biden’s Border Crisis. We must build the wall and secure the border.

While America’s southern border is invaded at historic numbers and Americans are murdered by illegal aliens, Joe Biden’s campaign manager makes it clear that Biden is “not advocating for shutting down the border.”

Biden’s Border Crisis will rage on because he refuses to secure the border.

Pistol Brace Rule

A Texas Court delivered a great win for the Second Amendment as they stopped the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms' (ATF) “pistol brace rule” from being applied to National Rifle Association (NRA) Members after they sued to overturn the unconstitutional rule.

Pistol braces do NOT make a handgun a rifle, and they do not make a firearm more dangerous. In fact, they were invented to help disabled individuals better stabilize their firearms.

We must keep working to protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.

Francis Scott Key Bridge

Joe Biden wants to recklessly spend money that doesn’t exist to rebuild the Francis Scott Key Bridge.

I told Fox News that before we spend one more cent for domestic infrastructure, we must build a border wall to stop the invasion of our country by illegals.

Here’s my proposal, Democrats agree to fully fund the border wall and Republicans will allow them to reprogram funds to rebuild the bridge from Biden’s wasteful infrastructure bill.

Religious Freedom for Warfighters

If any member of our military wants to have an emblem on their dog tags to represent their religious beliefs, it should be allowed.

Thanks to Rep. Steube for leading on this issue for our warfighters.

Fighting for the Unborn

On Monday, the Florida Supreme Court ruled that the state Constitution does not grant privacy protections to abortion and that a Constitutional amendment could be voted on by Floridians to determine whether to restrict or increase access to abortions.

I urge all Floridians to fight valiantly for the right to life for babies and stop their violent murder through abortion.

Defund the WHO

I'm proud to cosponsor H.R. 343 and H.R. 79 to both defund and withdraw from from the World Health Organization (WHO).

American tax dollars should not fund the WHO because:

• WHO helped the CCP cover-up the threat of COVID-19
• WHO bought into the CCP’s virus containment lies
• WHO does the bidding of the CCP in discriminating against Taiwan
• WHO erroneously believes gender is a continuum
• WHO believes it’s ok to kill babies through abortion

The Greatest Generation

Fair winds and following seas to Lou Conter. The last survivor of the attack on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor passed away at the age of 102.

After that “Day of Infamy” at Pearl Harbor, Conter went on to pilot bombers that hunted enemy submarines. He also was the first SERE (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape) Officer for the Navy. The tactics he taught were used by POWs in Vietnam.

Legislative Action

I cosponsored H.J.Res.123, Rep. Crenshaw’s resolution to rollback recent EPA air pollution rules for chemical plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities.

In the District

My prayers are with the family of Michael Vinson and the City of Clinton Fire Department after Michael was killed in a crash on Sunday while responding to a call. Please also be in prayer for Firefighter Nathan Hall who was injured in the crash.

Congratulations to the Belton-Honea Path High School on being awarded the 2023 School of Excellence. The school was honored based on their work to ensure student success. Specifically, they have shown an increase in the number of students who are the first in their family to chose to college or are working to obtain a post-secondary certificate. Congratulations to the students on pursuing the next step in their education, and to the faculty and staff for their work to train the next generation of leaders!

Congratulations to the teams of Officer Kunz and K9 Deuce as well as Officer Atwood and K9 Chops of the Fountain Inn Police Department for earning the Top Team Award at the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association's National Competition. Kunz and Deuce won the Narcotics division as well as the Top Gun Award. Atwood and Chops came in second in the Narcotics Division as well as won the Bark, Bandit, Trooper Award. Great work!
