More time learning, less time shopping
Become a prepared, skillful person takes time. If you're really serious
about it, you're going to have to commit to more than just stashing away
some buckets.
Make learning a priority. It's the least expensive but most important
prep you'll ever make.
Stop shopping and start learning - knowledge and skills are the most
valuable preps you can have. And they're way easier to carry with you.

They want to know if they can do it, even though they're broke.
You can.
