I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support this past month. Having you on the team has meant the world to me, truly.

We didn’t just meet our end of quarter target — we focused on making sure every New Jerseyan had the information they needed during the worst public health crisis in over a century.

Adapting to our new normal has presented many challenges, and we know there are more to come. But Americans are resilient. We rise to challenges and overcome them. We’re going to overcome this, too. We’re already seeing it.

The CARE Act was a big win for everyone. We now have an expansion of unemployment benefits, a $1,200 payment to most adults, increased support for small businesses, and $100 billion for hospitals. While we settle into another month of quarantines, I’m going to continue working on relief bills.

Passing the CARE Act took longer than it should have because partisan politicians were more focused on purity tests than the common good. Extremism isn’t what we need right now, and I’ll continue to work across the aisle with all of my colleagues as this crisis continues.

I encourage you to reach out to charities on the front lines of this crisis, too. If you’re able to, will you donate to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, American Red Cross, and New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund? [[link removed]]

Over the coming weeks, I will be working from home on the next relief bill so that you and your family have the essential financial and healthcare support you need during this crisis.
