John–

It's hard to believe we're already about to round out the first 100 days
of 2024. While time seems to be flying by, we've already made considerable
progress this year in our tireless work to end gun violence.

Already in 2024, we've accomplished a lot:

* January — Early in the new year, longtime NRA President Wayne LaPierre
stepped down in disgrace. Since our founding more than a decade ago,
Everytown for Gun Safety has become a formidable counterweight to the
NRA and the gun lobby. Even with Wayne LaPierre out of the picture,
we're working harder than ever to take on the gun lobby's increasingly
extreme and out-of-touch agenda.
* February — The NRA lost a major lawsuit in New York State. This was
only the latest in a line of legal and financial losses that has
severely damaged the beleaguered organization's reputation.
* March — In just the first three months of this year, we defeated more
than 109 bad gun bills across 15 states. But this shouldn't come as a
surprise, because we consistently defeat 90% of the gun lobby's state
priority bills.

John, right now, we can't afford to let up on the gas. We have
big plans for the year ahead, and we're counting on grassroots donations
from supporters like you to help us keep going strong. [ [link removed] ]Are you with us?

As we look to the months ahead, we have our work cut out for us. With new
legislation still being debated in statehouses across the country, plus
big plans for our grassroots operation in all 50 states and DC, there's
plenty more work to be done.

* Right now, MAGA Republicans are doubling down on extreme gun rhetoric
as they continue to spread their "guns everywhere" agenda. At the
local, state, and federal level they're pushing new, deadly bills that
weaken life-saving gun laws and put the gun lobby's interests ahead of
our own lives.
* From the ashes of the NRA we are monitoring new gun groups gaining new
influence in states across the country and in the halls of Congress.
* With critical elections ahead of us this year, volunteers with Moms
Demand Action and Students Demand Action are already planning another
massive grassroots activation leading up to November 5. It's this
grassroots power that has helped a record number of Gun Sense
Candidates win elections as of 2023. Just last fall, our volunteers
helped state legislative candidates in Virginia hold the Senate and
flip the House of Delegates to a Gun Sense Majority—a result that has
proven critical to defending and strengthening the state's gun safety
laws.

There's no sugar-coating it: The gun lobby and their MAGA Republican
allies are determined to claw back all of the progress we've made towards
gun safety. And as their policies grow more extreme every year, so do
their tactics.

Everytown for Gun Safety, Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action
are THE most important line of defense against right-wing gun extremists
in Congress, state legislatures, and local governments—and we couldn't do
it without grassroots donations from supporters like you across the
country.

[ [link removed] ]Together, we can continue our momentum towards a future free from gun
violence: Donate today to support our life-saving work.

What we are accomplishing together is incredible. We now count more than
ten million supporters, moms, mayors, survivors, students, and everyday
people across the country as part of our movement to end gun violence.

Thank you for your support,

John Feinblatt
