Team —
When I talk to Granite Staters about what issues are top of mind, countless individuals ask what we can do to combat the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs.
That's one reason we passed the Inflation Reduction Act which capped the cost of insulin at $35 a month for seniors on Medicare. But this was just one step in the fight to bring down the costs of prescription drugs for all Americans.
Right now too many out-of-touch Republicans are working overtime to try and undo the real progress we've made by attempting to raise the Social Security retirement age, cut Social Security and Medicare benefits, roll back savings on prescription drugs, and repeal $35 insulin for those on Medicare.
Team, I want to make one thing clear: Every day I hear stories about Granite Staters rationing their life-saving medications, discontinuing prescription drugs, or going into debt because of outrageous costs — this is unacceptable. All Granite Staters deserve access to affordable prescription drugs, but if House Republicans get their way the price of prescription medication will continue to increase.
It's time for House Republicans to stop pandering to Big Pharma. Add your name to my petition today if you agree Congress should work to bring down the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs.
Thank you,
Chris
