John,

I want to start by saying thank you to all of our workers during this time. Everyone who has been designated as "critical infrastructure" and going into work to keep us going -- whether it's nurses, doctors, grocery store workers, janitors, sanitation workers, truck drivers, first responders, the list goes on -- you are the heroes of this story.

My administration is working day and night with the federal government to ensure that we flatten the curve and slow the spread of COVID-19.

We all have to be a part of the solution, and that means staying home and continuing social distancing unless it is essential to leave your home.

I see you, and I am fighting for all of you, especially those who are most at risk. Your health is of the utmost importance to me. When I said we're going to get through this together, I meant it.

You matter. I've got your back.
