John,

I want to take a moment to pause and reflect and hope that you can find time to do the same.

The work that we do is incredibly important. Our mission is powerful and our motivations are for a better future. However, our work is difficult as well.

A week ago, 32 people were killed in two violent incidents that scar the American consciousness. Families have buried loved ones. Chairs sit empty at dinner tables. There are parents and children who can no longer share laughter or a smile. This leaves a lasting impression on all of us.

I am so grateful for all of the support that I have received, the support that our team at Brady has received, and the overwhelming support our movement and survivors have received in the past week. When it’s felt difficult to keep up the fight, so many of you have been there to help.

The events of last weekend are shocking and deeply saddening, but each day we go forward with the hope of a brighter future. Our hearts break for those we have lost, and we continue the fight for those whose lives we will save.

Thank you for everything you do for this movement,

Kris Brown
