Rob has said it before: California is facing a housing crisis of epic
proportions.

To urgently address it, the Attorney General is sponsoring Assemblymember
Buffy Wicks’ bill, AB 1893, to allow more housing for middle-class and
lower-income families to be built faster.

This bill would modernize the “builder’s remedy,” a 1990 provision that
limits local government’s ability to restrict the development of new
affordable and mixed-income housing development projects if they don’t
have a compliant housing element.

By updating the builder’s remedy after 30 years, we can better ensure
every city and county continues to properly plan for the future while
allowing for the development of desperately needed affordable housing
ASAP.

[ [link removed] ]It’s going to take all of us to solve the housing crisis, which is why
we’re asking: will you join Rob and sign on in support of this bill to
build more affordable housing faster today?

Together, we can tackle this crisis and ensure housing for all across
California.
