Folks,
Last week, I hit the road in the Commonwealth to update folks on my work in the Senate and hear firsthand what Virginians are looking for from leaders in Washington. Take a look:
And across the state, Virginians all said the same thing: They want a government that puts cynical partisanship aside and focuses on delivering real results on the issues that matter most. Whether it was in Harrisonburg, Winchester, Middleburg, or Buena Vista, Virginians told me they’re tired of Republicans stalling progress in the name of party loyalty.
I want to expand a little more on the needs that I heard from folks on the road, but before I do, I want to ask if you can chip in $5 today to help us kick off our April fundraising efforts?
Here’s what Virginians are looking for from congressional leaders:
- Comprehensive treatment for mental health issues
- Affordable housing
- More child care funding
- Increased local economic development and job creation
- Solutions to the terrible fentanyl epidemic
Virginians want to know how we’re expanding broadband and supporting small business owners. They want to see how our historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is improving our rail services and revitalizing our downtown.
They aren’t looking for public declarations of partisanship. They want – and need – politicians who will push past faux division and tackle these pressing issues.
And that’s exactly what I’ve fought to do in a divided Senate – get things done on a partisan basis. I couldn’t be more proud of the progress we’ve made, but frankly, I know we can do more. Especially if we recommit to our mission of electing Democrats up and down the ballot in November who will focus on delivering real results, not division and partisan gain.
That’s why I’m asking for your support today. Can you donate $5 to support my work in the Senate and on the campaign trail so we not only protect our Democratic Senate majority, but elect leaders who put progress over partisanship?
Thank you for taking the time,
Mark Warner
