Dear Friends,

It is hard to learn if you are hungry, tired, and coping with instability and trauma in your home. Years ago, Dr. Bob Kronick proposed bringing in outside resources to support kids and their families at school. I embraced the idea right away and voted to bring this strategy to our public schools.

Now, from initial efforts at Pond Gap and Inskip Elementary Schools, the Community Schools Strategy is in place at 13 elementary and 3 middle schools across the city.

As Mayor I will continue to support Community Schools and families and I am proud to have the endorsement of Bob Kronick.
