Dear John,
While others were tuned into their televisions for March Madness, Future Caucus members were busy making buckets of their own.
From Los Angeles, California to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, young lawmakers showed no signs of slowing down in their efforts to create a more representative, effective government.
See what they're up to:
A Day of Unreasonable Conversations
โ€œWhen I was drafting my first piece of legislation, I actually didnโ€™t get support from my Republican colleagues. So I said โ€˜Iโ€™m going to shake things up.โ€™ I got support from all of my Democratic colleagues, and then my own party noticed me. Bipartisan solutions definitely work in an ultra-Republican state." - Rep. Dawson Holle (R-ND)
Two Future Caucus members, Florida State Senator Alexis Calatyud and North Dakota Representative Dawson Holle, joined " A Day of Unreasonable Conversations [[link removed]] " in Los Angeles to discuss what life is like as a young lawmaker and why collaboration across the aisle is critical to their success as policymakers. The speaker lineup included notable figures such as Halle Berry, First Lady Jill Biden, Paris Hilton, Charli D'Amelio, Kesha, Jane Fonda, and more. [[link removed]]
