Persian New Year, also known as Nowruz, is a time of renewal and celebration to mark the beginning of Spring. I participated in festivities organized by the La Jolla Village Merchants Association, Elnaz Iraj, and the Iranian American City Employee Association to celebrate this significant holiday. These events brought our diverse San Diego communities together to celebrate one another’s cultures and traditions.
