John,

While Justice Democrats incumbents are under attack from right-wing megadonor-funded Super PACs in this year’s elections, they’re not letting it stop them from pushing for the bold, progressive change we need.

Last week, Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Delia Ramirez joined Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders in reintroducing the Green New Deal for Public Housing Act to simultaneously address the dueling climate and affordable housing crises our country faces.

Will you add your name as a citizen cosponsor to show your support for the Green New Deal for Public Housing today?

This comprehensive bill would create desperately needed, affordable, environmentally-friendly public housing in addition to good-paying union jobs.

Right now, there is not enough public housing available to meet demand, and with a lack of federal investment, there is a $70 million backlog in the maintenance of these affordable homes for those who need them.

Meanwhile, a record half of U.S. renters spent 30% or more of their income on rent in 2022, leaving them with less earnings to afford other bills and put food on the table.

Through the Green New Deal for Public Housing, necessary investments would be made to repair public housing while making it more efficient and green. It’s a win-win-win for workers, our most vulnerable residents in need of affordable housing, and our environment.

Help our progressive bloc in Congress build the public pressure to pass the Green New Deal for Public Housing into law: add your name in support today!
