This Ramadan has been unlike any other I've ever observed. During my own iftars (break-fast meals in the evenings during Ramadan), I find myself thinking about the families who aren't able to consume a nutritious meal in the safety of their home.
I think about the mother in Gaza who is hoping her child can come back from the brink of starvation, or the children who lost their father.
There is an intensity of suffering in Gaza that I can't comprehend. These famine-like conditions are entirely man-made, and are leaving entire families on the brink of death.
