John  – This new GOP budget is immoral and un-American.

The House majority just released a budget plan that slashes $1.5 TRILLION from Social Security and another $1.2 TRILLION from Medicare.

Their brilliant plan is to raise the retirement age to 69 and force us all to work until we die.

They claim these are necessary measures to fund the benefits you and I have been paying into all our lives – but I call bullsh*t.

The easiest way to fund Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid is to lift the damn cap.

Right now Social Security and Medicare taxes are only paid on the first $168,600 someone earns in a year. That means the richest of the richest Americans barely pay into Social Security at all, while the rest of us pay into it all year long!

If we raise the cap and get wealthier Americans to pay their fair share, everyone can retire with dignity and NO ONE will be left behind.

I’m running for Congress to protect and expand Social Security and Medicare – the two most important and successful government programs ever created.

If you agree that Republicans need to keep their hands off Social Security, pitch in $25, $50, $100 or more now to help me fight for this seat so we can FLIP CO-04 and take back the House majority.

For nearly 90 years, Social Security has lifted millions of seniors out of poverty and allowed people to live out their years in dignity and security.

But the world is changing. More people are approaching retirement with zero savings and most retirees today depend on Social Security for most or all of their income.

The very idea of cutting these benefits that we have paid into all our lives is obscene, and I won’t stand for it.

When I’m elected, I will fight to strengthen and expand Social Security by lifting the cap on what the super rich pay into this program and giving retirees greater financial security for as long as they need it.

Absolutely no one should be forced to work until they die. Help me flip this seat and I will fight tooth and nail to protect and expand our benefits.
