ACTION ALERT: Urge Congress to Act on Climate

TAKE ACTION: [link removed]

Climate change is the greatest threat to birds and people alike. Act now to ensure a future where people and wildlife thrive: [link removed]

We need urgent action on climate, and a rapid build-out of clean energy is part of the solution. The alternative is a world where two-thirds of bird species in North America face devastating range loss and potential extinction.

Familiar birds like the American Robin, Baltimore Oriole, American Goldfinch, and Allen’s Hummingbird may become seasonal rarities if our country does not soon make significant progress with deploying renewable energy to power our homes and businesses. However, the current U.S. electric grid was not designed for a clean energy future.

We have an opportunity to take bold action to ensure a climate-safe future for all. The bipartisan Clean Electricity and Transmission Acceleration Act (CETA) promotes a responsible transition to clean energy like wind and solar, which is key to reducing climate pollution and protecting wildlife and communities from climate impacts.

CETA balances the need to quickly deploy clean energy to combat the climate crisis with the need to prioritize people and habitat. By engaging communities, streamlining clean energy expansion, increasing grid reliability, and siting projects responsibly, we can create a livable future for both birds and people.

Birds tell us that we need to act now on climate, before it’s too late. Urge your U.S. Representative to support CETA and advance a clean energy future.
