You could be the next environmental justice honoree. No images? Click here John, I am so hopeful for our future because of the many incredible leaders among us. Since our CEO Alyssa Macy emailed you last month, we’ve already had 31 conservation and environmental justice leaders complete or begin their application for the esteemed $100,000 Bullitt Prize. As Alyssa shared on March 1, Washington Conservation Action Education Fund is awarding $100,000 each year to an emerging leader or group working on a problem through a project, engagement in creative thinking, or action to address a specific conservation and environmental justice issue. Since 2007, this prize has been awarded to 17 individuals. We are excited that the selection committee will have so many wonderful applicants to choose from. The job will be hard but worth it. We will award the prize publicly in December 2024. Please let me know if there’s anyone you would recommend by replying to me. You can find more information, the eligibility criteria and the application, at www.bullittprize.org.
