ADL&rsquo;s International Agenda Front and Center at Never is Now and NLS


The work of ADL&rsquo;s International Affairs department was on full display during this year&rsquo;s National Leadership Summit (NLS) and Never Is Now Conference on antisemitism. Highlights included:

The participation of over 60 Jewish community leaders from 26 countries in ADL&rsquo;s Global Jewish Roundtable &ndash; a daylong event on the sidelines of NIN - which featured discussions on key challenges facing different communities in confronting antisemitism.

Leaders of the J7 - the Large Jewish Communities&rsquo; Task Force Against Antisemitism - held a series of internal consultations and meetings with New York-based officials. Student J7 leaders participated in a special working group on campus issues.

ADL Launches ATLAS To Track Global Antisemitism
ADL launched a new interactive tool called ATLAS (Antisemitism Trends, Learning and Statistics) that provides global antisemitism information and analysis, includeing antisemitic incidents, antisemitic attitudes, information about government commitments and a variety of reports &ndash; all providing a comprehensive picture of the state of antisemitism worldwide.


Featuring information gathered by ADL as well as other international Jewish organizations, and academic and government institutions, ATLAS will be a resource for information on global antisemitism data along with government responses.

ADL Meets with UN Secretary General Guterres
ADL, together with the leaders of the J7 met with the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres at his UN headquarters. The participants raised several important issues, including the sharp rise in global antisemitism, the plight of the hostages in Gaza, the U.N.&rsquo;s inadequate approach to Israel in the aftermath of the Oct. 7 massacre, its delayed and flawed response to Hamas&rsquo; horrifying sexual violence against Israeli women, and the need for the U.N. to address the systemic failures of UNRWA.

Israel and the Middle East


To commemorate International Woman&rsquo;s Day,

ADL published a video criticizing those refusing to believe Israeli women about Hamas&rsquo;s sexual violence and called for the release of all hosages held in Gaza.


In light of growing criticism of Israel&rsquo;s handling of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, ADL said that

while it supports Israeli, US and other efforts to facilitate the delivery of aid across Gaza , other factors are contributing to the aid issues, including UN bureaucracy, UNRWA&rsquo;s incompetency and collaboration with Hamas, and Hamas terrorists hijacking aid trucks.


ADL expressed concern about a UN Security Council ceasefire resolution that

failed to reference and condemn Hamas for the atrocities of October 7, and their refusal to release the 134 hostages.


As part of ADL&rsquo;s new partnership with the Jewish Agency, ADL Israel held training sessions on antisemitism for Jewish Agency representatives who will be working in Jewish summer camps.

Sharon Hodgson and Christian Wakeford to discuss the dramatic spike in antisemitism and anti-Israel prejudice in the UK and elsewhere.


In the first quarter of 2024, Words To Action training in Europe reached 24 trainers across 20 institutions spanning 15 cities in 9 countries.
