This year, we’ve already spent a lot of time rallying support and popularity for a Green New Deal with the fifth anniversary of the resolution, identifying where to make critical investments in state and local groups that are on the ground fighting for GND policies, and calling for President Biden to declare a climate emergency.
We also continued our Green New Deal for the People Tour, traveling around the country to demand a Green New Deal from our elected officials at all levels of government. This movement has brought together state and local elected officials, community leaders, and climate, labor, and racial justice activists to form a cross-sectoral coalition of Green New Deal advocates.
