It's been a busy day here at DMP HQ, friend, so I'll keep it quick:

Even though the Florida Supreme Court will allow Ron DeSantis' cruel six-week ban on abortions with almost no exceptions to take effect in 28 days, there's still hope: The court also overruled the state GOP's out-of-touch efforts to keep a ballot initiative on abortion rights from the ballot.

So now, the people of Florida will get the final say — not extremist, anti-choice politicians. And with 67% of Floridians in favor of keeping abortion legal, I have a good feeling voters will choose to defend one of their most fundamental freedoms.

But we still have SEVEN months until the election, six of which will be spent under Ron DeSantis' authoritarian new law – so until we get to make our voices heard at the polls, I need at least 50,000 grassroots activists to sign my petition by midnight and let Florida Republicans know that enough is enough.

But as you can see above, I'm still about 18,300 names short – so before time runs out, friend, can I count on you to add yours now?
