As conversations continue to polarize around the upcoming election, we invite you to join us in mobilizing thousands of young people in approaching voting as an act of love ([link removed]) โ€”rooted in faith, illuminated by the stories of the people most greatly impacted by issues, and bound by the collective power of our Ignatian network.

Join us in Washington, D.C. or online for our first

Description:
Young people, especially young people of faith, may be decisive in the November 2024 U.S. presidential election. Young voters, and all of us, face fundamental issues of life and death, war and peace, who moves ahead and who gets left behind. Who participates in the election and what we decide will shape our lives and nation for decades. Catholic social thought can shape and enrich our participation in public life. Catholic teachings emphasize the duty to participate and urge us to find a renewed sense of solidarity and responsibility.

As the country faces enormous challenges, this Ignatian Solidarity Network and Initiative Salt and Light Gathering will explore how young Catholics can make a difference by acting in light of their faith in this election year. Participants are Senator Flavio Bravo, a senator in the Arizona State Legislature representing District 26 and a member of the board of directors for Central Arizona Shelter Services, Open Hearts Family Wellness, and the Kino Border Initiative; Lindsay Hayes, the president and CEO of Free the Facts and a former writer and communications consultant in the White House and on the McCain and Romney presidential campaigns; and Colin Martinez Longmore, the communications coordinator for NETWORK Lobby for Catholic Social Justice and the former advocacy committee chair for the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice.
