Veteran $camJam

The Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds is partnering with the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and the PA Department of Banking and Securities to hold a Veterans $camJam. This event is a free educational forum where veterans and their families can learn how to avoid today’s scams and frauds. Experts from these offices will be on hand to provide investment fraud and scam prevention tactics plus complimentary snacks, drinks, and Investment Fraud BINGO!

The $camJam will be on Friday, April 19 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Montgomery County Human Services Center, 1430 Dekalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19422. Seating is limited so registration is highly recommended. You can register online here or call 610-278-3289 for help with registration.  

Senior Fair

My 2024 Senior Fair is this month! Stop by the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Hall D in Oaks where we will have over 50 vendors available to you from federal, state, and county offices to non-profits, insurance agencies, veterans organizations and more! The fair will be on April 25th from 10 am to 2 pm.

Whole Home Repairs Program

The application window for the Whole Home Repairs Program through Montgomery County’s Offices of Housing & Community Development and Public Health is closing on Friday, April 12, 2024. This popular program assists low- to moderate-income households to make repairs to both owner-occupied and rental properties.

You can apply either online or through mail/email. Visit montgomerycountypa.gov/wholehomerepairs to learn how to apply and find additional housing resources.  

April Recognitions

April is National Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention month. Every year millions of Americans experience sexual violence that often leaves them scarred and traumatized. This month, we support survivors and recommit our efforts to ending this public health crisis. Help is always available. You can call the 24/7 hotline of Victim Services Center of Montgomery County at 888-521-0983 and speak with trained professionals that can provide help after a sexual assault.

It is also National Autism Acceptance Month to celebrate individuals with autism and those in the neurodivergent community. Throughout April, we celebrate our diversity and work toward inclusion in all aspects of life.
