Hey John, Katie Porter here. And today I want to tell you about a real champion for Californians: Attorney General Rob Bonta.
At an event not too long ago, my kids got to meet Rob, and I introduced him as “THE lawyer fighting for the people of California.” Our state is lucky to have Rob taking on tough fights on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community, consumers, and our environment.
As a consumer protection advocate, I know firsthand that these fights—even if they don’t always make the frontpages—make a huge difference in people's lives.
That’s why Rob has introduced legislation to keep children safe online; crafted legislation to hold local governments that stand in the way of new housing to account; and he’s leading the effort to defend the Biden Administration’s environmental standards against a Big Oil-backed challenge.
