John,
Join CHN tomorrow, Thursday, April 4 at 2pm ET for our latest webinar, “Competing Visions: Federal Budget Choices Will Shape Our Future―But How?” Click here to RSVP.
President Biden released his FY2025 budget that lays out important steps to meet our nation’s needs, provides help to those who need it most, invests in our future, and reduces the deficit over the next decade.
The Biden budget recommends initiatives to substantially invest in child care to limit costs for families, expand the supply of affordable housing, expand access to health coverage and home and community-based care for seniors and people with disabilities, enact a national paid leave program, and much more.
These initiatives will be paid for by raising taxes on ultra-wealthy households and major corporations.
The House Budget Committee’s proposed budget takes a drastically different approach by slashing funding for human needs programs and extending the massive tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy and corporations that took effect under the 2017 GOP tax bill (AKA, the Trump tax scam).
We know that whichever budget is approved by Congress will shape our future for decades to come. That’s why we’re hosting a webinar to provide you with the tools and knowledge to argue for investments in human needs, not cuts.
Join us tomorrow, Thursday, April 4 at 2PM ET, for “Competing Visions: Federal Budget Choices Will Shape Our Future―But How?” for budget analysis and ways we can fight back against funding cuts to human needs programs.
