Our democracy is under threat from an insidious initiative known as Project 2025 which aims to follow a playbook laid out by the Heritage Foundation by systematically taking over and dismantling the federal government from within.
Project 2025 seeks to purge the government of non-partisan experts, replacing them with radical ideologues loyal only to the MAGA movement. Key agencies would be staffed with Trump loyalists intent on implementing his destructive policies and demolishing any remaining checks on executive power.
The goal is clear -- to erode the independence of federal institutions, shred longstanding democratic norms, and concentrate authority in the hands of a far-right faction operating outside the bounds of accountability.
Project 2025 is counting on our complacency, and our willingness to look the other way as they co-opt the levers of government for their extremist ends. We can't let that happen. Say NO to a right-wing government takeover. Reject Project 2025 now!
No part of the government would be spared, from the Justice Department to the EPA.
And we’ve already seen a preview of their dystopian vision -- gutted environmental protections, attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion, and the dismantling of reproductive rights.
Our system of checks and balances, built up over centuries, would be bulldozed virtually overnight.
The bottom line is that this is a Code Red moment for American democracy because Project 2025 represents an existential threat to our most cherished values and hard-won freedoms. It's nothing less than a blueprint for authoritarian rule -- a right-wing coup in slow motion.
For the sake of our republic and the integrity of our democratic experiment, we must resoundingly reject Project 2025 and the dangerous ideology behind it now.
Thank you for drawing a line in the sand and saying no to this un-American power grab.
