Hey John,
How do young people go from caring about an issue, to organizing a campaign and winning a serious victory? One way is through intensive training from Advocates for Youth!
Accepted applicants will join over 100 youth activists aged 14-24 in a year-long fellowship who receive training, support, and $600 per semester stipends to organize for sexual health, rights, and justice in their community! Youth organizers will also be flown to Washington, D.C. to receive in-depth training at our Youth Activist Institute in September, a life-changing experience where they will network with fellow youth activists and build essential organizing skills.
Want to gain year-round support for your activism and build your power as an organizer? Apply here by May 1st!
We now have nine core programs you can choose from. Plus, you will have the resources of Advocates for Youth behind your local activism all year long!
Our activists have used our training and resources to:
- bring gender-neutral housing to their campus
- pass state legislation expanding access to menstrual products
- win access to medication abortion (abortion pills) on their college campus
- urge their campuses to adopt better policies to combat sexual assault
- advocate for better, inclusive sex education in their state and cities
- educate their communities about LGBTQ Muslims
- increase HIV testing and condom availability
- and so much more!
And remember, applications are due May 1st - that's just a few weeks away (hello April!) I look forward to seeing the great applications this year.
In solidarity,
Kinjo Kiema

P.S. - if you're not ages 14-24, can you forward this email to someone you think would be a good fit? Or to an organization who works with young people? We need everyone to do their part to help us build this incredible group!
Plus, we find that most of the people we accept were told to apply by a trusted adult, mentor or friend. So send this to someone you think is a rising star today.
