Dear Neighbor,
One of the most important parts of my job is fighting to secure federal funds for our communities. I was thrilled to have secured over $12.7 million this year for our district. And last week I had the opportunity to personally deliver some of these funds to you and your neighbors! I delivered $850,000 to the City of Pico Rivera for the Historic Whittier Boulevard Neighborhood Paseos. This funding will help transform Whittier Boulevard into a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy.
Parks provide a safe space for our families to gather in our neighborhoods, and I’m proud to have delivered $500,000 to the City of Diamond Bar for Heritage Park renovations!
I strongly believe in investing and empowering our youth and that’s why I fought for $2 million for the Walnut Gymnasium and Teen Center. Spaces such as these not only provide physical health benefits but also serve as a social hub for the youth in our community!
I’m pleased to have worked with the City of Norwalk to secure over $2 million for investments for local transit infrastructure and water facilities. These investments will improve the lives of families right here in our city.
Finally, we all know the benefits high-quality childcare brings to families. I’m proud to have delivered $1 million to Cerritos College’s award-winning Child Development Center. This funding will help ensure the center can continue to provide that important service while training the teachers of tomorrow.
As I head back to Washington, I will keep fighting to secure federal funding and ensure our communities have the resources they need to succeed. As always if you require any assistance with a federal agency please do not hesitate to reach out at (562) 860-5050.
Sincerely,
Linda T. Sánchez
