John,
Did you see this weekend's headlines?
"Eric Doden has the Momentum" read the headline from Importantville as it was reported that he's "rising from zero-percent obscurity statewide to becoming a legitimate contender. Braun is also turning his fire on Doden — a sign they may see him as a threat.”
This is what we have been seeing for weeks. Senator Braun is the weakest "frontrunner" in Indiana history and even before his disastrous record was exposed, public polling in March showed his support had already dropped 13%.
Since then, Braun has faced a series of ads exposing his plan to end legal protections for law enforcement, his endorsement of Black Lives Matter, and weeks of headlines for skipping a federal budget vote (for a campaign fundraiser or to go to sleep according to his campaign).
Then, on Friday, the Indy Star reported: "Mike Braun's Senate campaign owes the federal government $159,000 for violating campaign finance rules during the 2018 election, among the largest fines in the federal agency's history."
We have the momentum and are surging at just the right time. Meanwhile, Senator Braun's support is collapsing which is exactly why he launched an ad full of attacks against Eric that have previously been fact-checked and described as "unfounded," "murky," "mostly false," and "not only strains credulity but assumes Doden has the ability to time travel.”
Help us keep up the momentum. Chip in what you can today HERE.
Thank you,
Team Doden
