Hi,

Leonard Leo, co-chair of the Federalist Society, former Trump advisor, and
chief architect of piling the Supreme Court with right-wing judges, is
proudly calling on billionaires to “take full advantage” of the
conservative supermajority on SCOTUS.

Leo said it’s critical that Republicans “flood the zone with cases” in
order to make America more conservative and more billionaire-friendly.^1

But right now, Leonard Leo is the center of a Congressional ethics
investigation (along with GOP billionaire mega-donor Harlan Crow) into
corruption on the Supreme Court involving Justices Clarence Thomas and
Samuel Alito. Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to
subpoena Leo and Crow weeks ago, but never issued the subpoenas.^2 What’s
the hold up?

Republicans like Lindsey Graham and Josh Hawley fought hard against the
subpoenas and lobbed threats against Democrats if they went through with
the vote.^3 Now, it’s critical that Democrats force Leo and Crow in front
of Congress to hold conservatives on SCOTUS accountable.

Leo and Crow’s shady involvement with SCOTUS and certain conservative
justices has been heavily reported on, and must be officially
investigated.

Leo is a big reason the Court looks like it does today. He had a big say
in SCOTUS appointments under George W. Bush and Donald Trump. And his
relationship with Thomas and Alito is a bit too friendly — he organized
luxury trips for each of them. Leo also oversaw $1.6 billion in funding
for right-wing dark money groups over the past few years.^4

Now, he’s doing everything in his power to “take full advantage” of the
right-wing Supreme Court to make America more conservative and more
friendly to corporations and the ultra-wealthy.

Then there’s Crow. Over more than two decades, Supreme Court Justice
Clarence Thomas reportedly accepted luxury trips virtually every year from
GOP mega-donor, and billionaire Dallas businessman, Harlan Crow without
disclosing them.^5

Senate Democrats must continue their investigation into Supreme Court
corruption and hold Leo and Crow accountable.
