Coordinating Council To Hold Meeting on April 10
On April 10, 2024, the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (Council) will convene from 1 to 4 p.m. ET in Washington, DC. The Council is an independent body within the Federal Government that coordinates federal programs related to youth justice and missing and exploited children.
The Council’s April meeting will focus on OJJDP’s Continuum of Care for Communities, a framework for understanding the broad array of youth justice programs and services needed to prevent delinquency and the further progression of youth into the juvenile justice system. The Council will discuss ways that its work can support this framework. In addition, the Council will prioritize recommendations for its 2024 report to Congress and the White House.
Office of Justice Programs Assistant Attorney General Amy L. Solomon will provide opening remarks. OJJDP Administrator Liz Ryan serves as Vice Chair of the Council and will also provide remarks.
The meeting is open to the public and will be available via online video conference. Registration is required.
