Last night, Donald Trump held a rally right here in Wisconsin and directly attacked me. I'll spare you the details, but he fired up his base with his message of fear and division — a MAGA message that has no place here.
Trump's rally may be over, but the fight to defend my seat — and our Senate majority — is just beginning. So please, will you help us respond to MAGA extremism by splitting a donation between my campaign and the DSCC?
Trump's rally here was no accident, John. He came because the paths to the White House and the Senate both run through Wisconsin.
In 2016 and 2020, Wisconsin was the tipping point in the presidential election. Our electoral votes put both Donald Trump and President Biden over the top in their elections, and both races had a margin of less than 1%.
Then in 2022, Wisconsin's Senate race was one of the most expensive in the entire country — and that race also came down to a 1% margin. Now, national Republicans have made me a top target for defeat in November.
Mitch McConnell handpicked a right-wing, mega-millionaire Republican to run against me. He'll have virtually unlimited resources at his disposal from now until November, and last night, Donald Trump handed him his “complete and total endorsement” — so I need this grassroots team to help me fight back and keep this seat blue.
