Dear John,

In celebration of National Hope Month, I wanted to share with you what gives me hope.

Here at BREATHE LA I am grateful for the support of our remarkable Board Members, kind Donors, and committed Volunteers. I am inspired by our incredible staff that are creating solutions every day to provide life changing programs to our communities living with chronic lung disease.

COVID-19 restrictions may prevent us from providing in-person programming, but it will NOT stop us from serving those in need.

Already, BREATHE LA is working hard to:

  • Provide educational workshops, presentations, and training virtually to our community partners.

  • Create solutions to provide virtual patient support and education to children, families, and seniors living with chronic lung diseases.

  • Partner with influential organizations such as the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to provide tobacco and vaping prevention presentations online to parents and schools across Los Angeles County. (There is growing evidence suggesting that smoking and vaping exacerbates outcomes for those with COVID-19).

Amid this crisis, I have hope. Your sustained commitment to our work has made it possible for BREATHE LA to provide critical programming during this crisis.

Share with us what brings you hope by tagging us on social media @breathelac with the hashtag #BreatheInHope, and consider making a meaningful gift online to help BREATHE LA continue to create hope for those living with chronic lung disease.

Thank you for your continued support and stay safe.
In Health,
Marc Carrel
