I wanted to keep you updated on the efforts going on in our community to bring
much needed support to our neighbors and combat COVID-19. I’ve received

I wanted to keep you updated on the efforts going on in our community to bring
much needed support to our neighbors and combat COVID-19. I’ve received many
requests asking how you can help, and I wanted to pass along information about
both local and national organizations you can support:  

 

Advocates for the Homeless and Those in Need

* Providing services to the homeless through emergency shelters, food and
other life-sustaining services
 

American Red Cross <[link removed]>

* The Red Cross is in critical need due to the outbreak as blood drives
continue to be canceled. Please consider making an appointment to donate
lifesaving blood, platelets and AL Elite plasma
 

Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless <[link removed]>

* Providing assistance to the homeless during the crisis. Visit their website
to find out how to donate or volunteer

* A Free Mobile Farm Market that provides fresh produce to low income

* Supporting non-profit organizations on the front lines helping Montgomery
County's most vulnerable populations during this crisis

* Supporting those facing food insecurity
 

Philabundance

* Philabundance is building and distributing emergency food boxes across our
nine-county service area
 
Rolling Harvest Food Rescue

* Purchases surplus from local farms to distribute to local residents in need
 

RSVP of Montgomery County <[link removed]>

* Sign up to volunteer your time to assist our county's most vulnerable
residents in this time of crisis
 
Salvation Army <[link removed]>

* Financial contributions allow them to quickly respond to changing needs.
In-kind goods of non-perishable food, baby supplies, hygiene products, cleaning
and sanitizing items, and paper products are also welcome at select Salvation
Army facilities. 

United Way of Bucks County COVID-19 Recovery Fund

* Bucks County COVID-19 Recovery Fund is a local, coordinated emergency
response fund to support that short- and long-term financial recovery of people
in Bucks County
 

YMCA <[link removed]>

* Providing emergency child care for health care workers and first
responders; food for children without access to school meals; and outreach to
seniors in social isolation
 

Your Way Home <[link removed]>

* Providing emergency and permanent housing to those in need
 

If you’re self-isolating or in a high-risk group, donating funds, medical
supplies or care packages is a great way to support our community. If you are
otherwise healthy, in a low-risk group, and engaging in social distancing, you
may also want to consider volunteering as your help is desperately needed.

and ways to keep yourself and your loved ones safe during this outbreak,
including: 

* Washing your hands
* Cleaning frequently touched objects and surfaces
* Avoiding contact with those who are sick
