Why get involved? It would be easier to just stay home and watch the news. The state of our country is frustrating right now, to say the least. I get it.

But what if I told you that you have the opportunity to be encouraged about our country, to be inspired by others who love our country, and to be equipped with practical steps and a sense of purpose?

I hope you will make the choice to join me on April 18^th or April 24^th. Our country needs people who choose to be pro-active and to get involved… and I am hoping that you will do just that.

On April 18^th we will host a “Cheese and Chocolate” night in Washington County at the Cider Press located at 47 Crystal Falls Drive, Smithsburg. Thursday, April 18, from 6-8:30 PM. The cost is $50/person; $85/family, and you can sign up by going to [link removed]

On April 24^th, almost one week later, we would love to see you at The Montgomery County Evening Event which will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Austin and Kate Otto located at 21840 New Hampshire Ave. in Brookeville, MD. Wednesday, April 24^th, from 6-8:30 PM. The cost is $100/person; $165/couple, and you can sign up by going to [link removed]

If you are not able to attend in person, please consider sending a donation and/or volunteering. Working together, we can accomplish so much more than we could alone.

I am very thankful that you care about our country, and I hope that you will make the choice to get involved. It may not always be easy, but the future of our country is definitely worth the effort.
