A leader for criminal justice reform and accountability, Attorney General Ellison was the lead prosecutor of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis and led the team that successfully convicted former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
He’s fought to lower pharmaceutical drug prices, protect workers against wage theft, hold opioid companies accountable for the deadly opioid epidemic, protect tenants from exploitation, protect seniors from scams and abuse, protect student borrowers, hold major corporations accountable for consumer fraud and deception, and much more.
Before becoming attorney general, Attorney General Ellison represented Minnesotans in the U.S. House of Representatives for 12 years, where he championed consumer, worker, environmental, and civil-rights protections for all.
