National Domestic Workers Alliance
============================
John – We're thrilled to announce one of the most important days on our 2024 calendar: Care Giving Day, April 18th!
It’ll be a pivotal moment in a month dedicated to showing our appreciation for care workers, from the White House on down. We invite you to join us as we kick off our first ever Care Giving Day and continue impacting millions of care workers through our advocacy work.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by April 18, and if we can secure $1,000 of that today, we’ll be off to a lightning start. Just 50 people donating $20 by midnight tonight will reach this milestone! John, will you be one of them?

Why April 18? It’ll be the first anniversary of the White House Proclamation declaring April as Care Workers Recognition Month – a celebration that’ll be marked by the White House reissuing the proclamation to underscore its importance!
This proclamation was a historic event on its own, but it was also accompanied by an executive order which included more than 50 directives to expand access to quality, affordable care, and provide support to family caregivers and care workers, including domestic workers.
To mark this incredible moment and to build power to tackle unprecedented challenges – low pay, long hours, lack of benefits, and unpaid labor – Care Giving Day will be a moment to come together and collectively contribute to supporting these incredible women as they lead the fight to transform care work.
If we want to finish strong, we need to start strong. That’s why we want to raise $1,000 by midnight tonight. John, can you make a donation right now to get us there and show your appreciation for domestic workers this month?

No matter whether you can contribute financially or not, we hope you can join us in celebrating Care Workers Recognition Month. It's time we recognize care workers, and show our appreciation for the critical work they do.
Thanks for all you do for the domestic workers in your life and in our movement,
The NDWA Team
