Greetings! Speaker Pelosi just announced that Congress won’t go back to work in Washington, D.C. until April 20th at the earliest. With everything going on right now, this is a terrible dereliction of duty! As a retired bomb disposal expert for the U.S. Army, Congressman Mast understands that every job comes with a set of risks. In our current climate, everything we do can put our health at risk, but when Members of Congress run for office, they need to understand there will be personal sacrifices for the betterment of our great nation. Congress needs to get back to work ASAP! Healthcare professionals, staff at grocery store checkouts, sanitation workers, police, firefighters and many more are selflessly working to help our communities. Like being on the frontlines of the battlefield, they are putting themselves on the frontline of this crisis - service before self.
