Dear John,

By the early 2000s, I’d written many books about the ins and outs of the legal system, but it wasn’t until I started doing research for my 2006 book The Innocent Man that I began learning about the horrors of wrongful conviction — and that’s why I got involved with the Innocence Project.

Every day, they fight to free innocent people from prison and bring justice to an oftentimes unjust system. I can’t think of a more noble fight than that, and I’m so incredibly proud and grateful to be a small part of this work.

The Innocence Project hosts a gala every year in which they celebrate exonerees and the wonderful community that supports their efforts to save innocent people from wrongful conviction. But this year I’m incredibly humbled to say that they’ll be honoring me at the gala — and I want you by my side for it.

Will you join me at my table for the Innocence Project’s annual gala? All you have to do is make a donation and you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win — flight to New York City and accommodations for you and a guest are on us!

I’m so thankful for the work this team does every single day to not only free wrongly convicted people, but to transform the criminal legal system, making it more just and equitable for all of us.

John, I can promise you that hearing directly from exonerated people whose stories fuel the Innocence Project’s work is a unique and life-changing opportunity. You won’t want to miss it.

So make a donation right now and you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to New York to be my guest at the Innocence Project’s annual gala.

I can’t wait to celebrate with you,

John Grisham
